We Value and Honor our Volunteers
Dogs for Diabetics began as a volunteer effort to support persons coping with diabetes, by adding a new support in their lives, a wonderful assistance dog, who could tell them of the onset of a risk that many feared daily.
Our volunteers, which range from clients, family members, friends and strangers, have provided dedicated service ranging from training and fostering our dogs, to cleaning our training center, to walking to raise money to continue our program. All are appreciated for the unique contribution that they provide. Their service is making a difference in the daily lives of diabetics!
We are pleased to honor their service with stories of their efforts. We hope that these stories may inspire others to take the step to volunteer their time and energy and enjoy the same joy of service in their lives.
