Training Status Update: 1/6/21

Of course Gus is ready to learn new things….. he had a great Christmas with his CTP family….. Thank you to all our CTP’s….. they are AMAZINGLY giving volunteers.

Gus will be transitioning to the bringsel this week and is still imprinting on the diabetic scent.

Gus, has been hard at work training. He is currently working through imprinting on the “target odor” and settling on the jar. Keep up the great work, Gus – we’re so proud of your progress!

Gus is working on holding the dumbbell while both sitting still and moving towards the trainer.

Gus is BUSY…. he loves to learn. Here he is practicing his “scent” work with bucket training….. Hayley (trainer) is standing by to “reward” as soon as Gus makes the right move.

Gus is up & running or should we say learning….. Our dogs learn to “bringsel” by starting out with holding a dumbbell, first just opening their mouth to grab and eventually holding for an extended period of time.

Looks like Gus has got this!
