Bruce Rippon passed away suddenly in 2010, at the age of 56 as a result of complications from his life long struggle with type 1 diabetes. He was an artist who possessed humor and a quick wit which was expressed through drawings, sculptures and a comic strip he created.
An avid sports fan, Bruce closely followed professional sports, especially the San Francisco 49ers and Giants. A special brick commemorating Bruce’s life can be found at the foot of the Willie Mays’ statue at AT&T Park in San Francisco.
Bruce found peace and inspiration at Lake Tahoe where he hiked, kayaked, and spent many hours reading under the pine trees. He had a big heart and was especially fond of children and animals. He would have appreciated the bond that D4D’s client’s develop with their dogs.
This $5,000 donation, provided by members of his family, was designated for the development of our website to enhance D4D’s ability to spread its message via a creative and dynamic medium.
We thank his family for this wonderful donation.
